Attendance

Cannon Hill Community Kindergarten has recently updated our Kindy programs and times from 2023 to better suit the needs of our Kindy families.  Rather than the traditional five-day fortnight, our centre now offers two extended programs as follows:

Kindy Purple attends every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8.45am to 2.45pm.

Kindy Green attends every Thursday and Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm.

Each class is led by an Early Childhood Teacher and an Assistant, and an Additional Assistant may also work with the class to promote inclusive learning and help with additional needs.

Please note that our Centre operates during QLD public school terms and also has the same holidays as QLD Public Schools.

2024 Fees

As of January 2024, Queensland Government is funding FREE KINDY for 15 hours per week / 40 weeks per year.   Cannon Hill Kindy is proud to be approved to offer our local community this funding.  Please note, that as both of our programs have slightly longer hours than the funded 15 hours per week, there will be a small "Additional Hours Levy" charged.  Full details to be released once Queensland Government provides the funding guidelines.

2023 Fees

We are a Community not-for-profit kindergarten and the Executive Management Committee set the fees each year to cover the costs of running the Centre.

Our kindergarten service is an approved kindergarten program provider under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (KFS).  Refer to our attached Statement of Fees for more information about our charges.

From 1 January 2023, the new Kindy savings mean every eligible family enrolled in a Kindy will see a reduction of $1500 per year in their Kindy fees to help with out-of-pocket costs.

There are additional subsidies available that provide more support for families who need it most.

Families who receive Family Tax Benefit will be eligible for a further reduction in fees - saving up to $3500 per year.

Families who meet the eligibility criteria for "Kindy Plus" subsidy may be able to attend Kindy for free!  (Eligibility includes: a current Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, Veteran Affairs card, or identify as Aboriginal, Torres Strait or South Sea Islander, foster care, or Refugee program)

The subsidies are provided directly to the Kindy to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for eligible families.
