Rhonda has a long and happy association with Cannon Hill Community Kindergarten and began her career as Director with us in 1985. Prior to this, Rhonda taught for a number of years at Canossa Kindergarten at Coorparoo. During her years of teaching Rhonda has developed a passion for Early Childhood Education and the foundation it provides for children as life-long learners.

Julie Lederhose

Assistant (Kindy Purple)

Certificate III in Education Support

Julie has been the Kindy M Assistant since 2011 and she loves working with Rhonda and the Kindy M children. Prior to joining us, Julie worked as a Teacher Aide with a number of local schools. Julie especially enjoys teaching the children new songs and rhymes with the help of Mrs Murphy's piano and guitar skills. Julie finds great joy in watching the children grow and learn through play.

Tracy Farley

Assistant (Kindy Green)

Diploma of Childcare and Education

Tracy joined us as at Cannon Hill Community Kindergarten in 2012, returning to work after caring for her two children. Tracy brings lots of fun and smiles to Kindy C. Tracy loves helping the children develop throughout their Kindy year and finds great joy in supporting the children to find their confidence and independence.

Brooke Pridmore

Office Manager

Brooke joined the Kindy as Office Manager late 2020.  Her youngest daughter attends Cannon Hill Community Kindergarten and she loves the play-based learning and engaging early childhood environment. Managing the Kindy enrolment process means Brooke is usually the first point of contact for most of our families and she oversees the liaison between parents, staff, committee and Lady Gowrie. Brooke is responsible for all administrative tasks and she aims to keep the Kindy operating as smoothly as possible.

Support for Additional Needs

We are committed to providing inclusive environments and programs to meet the diverse needs of all children and their families. At our Kindy there may be an Additional Needs Assistant working to facilitate the inclusion of children with additional needs. This additional staff may be employed for limited hours through the day to work one on one or with small groups of children, on an as required basis.

We are proudly "parent powered" and as a community kindergarten, rely heavily on the help of our parents.  A team of volunteers make up the Committee each year, to assist in decision making and the future plans for the Kindy. It is a great way to be involved and know the direction, plans for your child's class and also current struggles for the centre.  We encourage all parents of Cannon Hill Kindy to be involved in some way.
